Award Description: The Employment Services grant is comprised of two parts: Employment Services $3,998,314, and Reemployment Services $6,663,587
Project Description: Project Reemployment Opportunity System (PROS) - staff funding has been set aside for State staff performing PROS activities - funding is $4,203,675 from Reemployment Services (RES) and $741,825 Employment Services. Project is less than 50% completed. PROS is a program that identifies UI claimants who are likely to exhaust their UI benefits. Claimants are identified within the first 5 weeks of collecting benefits and receive a UI generated letter instructing them to report to a local One-Stop Career Center for labor exchange and employment counseling services. ES Field Service funding set aside to pay staff to assist clients - funding source is $1,084374 RES and $1,736,785 employment services. Project is less than 50% completed. Reemployment Orientation material -funding will be used to update Reemployment Orientation materials. Current materials are over seven years old, and are required to be updated to reflect current procedures, and new programs and services offered by the State. Funding is comprised of $31,000 RES and $19,000 employment services. Project is less than 50% completed. Employer outreach - funding used to outreach with employer community - funding comprised of $163,318 RES & $145,412 Employment Services - Project is less than 50% completed. Information Technology - funding will be used to purchase computer software and hardware updates - Funding $866,490 RES & $1,102,792 Employment Services. Project is less than 50% completed.
