Award Description: The objective of this project is to install a large Photo Voltaic Panel array on the roof of the Spottswood W. Robinson III and Robert R. Merhige, Jr. United States Courthouse in Richmond, Virginia. The project will supplement the electrical system while reducing the energy consumption through use of cutting edge sustainable energy technologies, while at the same time producing a product, which is cost effective, meets acceptable life cycle requirements, and all relevant governmental design standards. Alpha will assist GSA during the source selection phase for the design-build construction contract. As such, Alpha will assist the GSA project team in preparation of the Request for Proposals (RFP). Alpha will be a non-voting member of the source selection team. This GSA source selection team will meet for approximately 1 week sometime in the month of November, 2009. The proposal packages will be reviewed independently at Alpha’s local office prior to the meeting. Alpha will then attend a two day on-board ranking and selection process with the GSA source selection team at the GSA Philadelphia office.
