Award Description: The OH-20 NEG was awarded to provide employment and training services to workers displaced from the GE Lighting facility in Willoughby, Ohio.

Project Description: Unfortunately, no participants have been served thus far under the grant. A significant time period elapsed between date of layoff and receipt of the NEG, which has made recruitment efforts challenging. Massive outreach and recruitment is being undertaken at the local level and they predict that they will be able to engage individuals in the grant over the next few months. It is not anticipated that the grant will be fully utilized, and the State will work closely with the area to assist in recruitment of eligible participants.

Jobs Summary: There were no reports of jobs created or retained due to the OH-20 NEG. This is an indication that staff working on this project would have been employed even in the absence of this grant. (Total jobs reported: 0)

Project Status: Less Than 50% Completed
