Award Description: The overall purpose of Title I, Part A ARRA funds for eligible children attending private schools that are allowable under Title I and consistent with ARRA principals are providing professional development to teachers in Title I targeted assistance programs on the use of data to inform and improve instruction for Title I-eligible students; using reading or mathematics coaches to provide professional development to teachers in Title I targeted assistance programs and establishing or expanding fiscally sustainable extended-learning opportunities for Title I-eligible students in targeted assistance programs, including activities provided before school, after school, during the summer or over the extended school year. The ARRA funding will focus on equitable participation for eligible children, professional development for privet school teachers of Title I participants, parent involvement activities, assessment, contractor Title I teachers and supervisors, instructional materials, communication between the contractor and private school personnel and evaluation and reports on ARRA activities.
Project Description: The services provided during this quarter were parent involvement activities, providing salaries for teachers and supervisors for eligible privet school children, the purchase of instructional supplies and providing professional development to teachers in Title I targeted assistance programs.
