Award Description: This project will enhance the underwater search, rescue and recovery capabilities of the Long Beach Fire Department. It will reduce the risk to public safety divers by doing high hazard underwater operations remotely. Benefits include swifter recovery of missing persons, the identification and recovery of underwater objects, and a reduction in waterway closures.
