Award Description: The funding is provided through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The funding will be available for renewable systmes for local government/public buildings such as K-12 schools, public libraries, public safety facilities, governmetnal centers and wast treatment facilities for the installation of solar thermal, photoboltaic adn small - scale wind reductions in energy usage and GHG emissions
Project Description: Block grant was signed on September 24th, 2009, we have in place a contract with the Northern Virginia Regional Commission. The Commission is tasked with helping DMME implement this program and to establish a working committee structure to coordinate with DMME, provide technical support and infromational resources to applicants who would establish community energy conservation plans or programs. Foster cooperaton between localities and coordination of the Block grant applications
