Project Description: Description: The purpose of this project is to reduce per capita energy consumption by 25% of the state’s 1990 per capita energy use by 2012. A. Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for State Buildings: Reduce grid-based electricity consumption of state owned buildings by 20% by 2015. Retrofit 15-17 buildings. B. Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy for Schools: $8,522,500. Retrofit 17 schools. C. Energy Efficient Traffic Signals and Street Lights: $1,702,500. D. Alternative Fuel Infrastructure to establish a fueling infrastructure for the Nevada State Motor Pool for the use of Ethanol-based fuels for state vehicles. $170,250. E. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan Program. To provide low-interest loans to improve energy efficiency and conservation. $9,348,100. F. Engineering, Feasibility, Permitting, EIS and Project Implementation. $5,675,000. This category is being reevaluated as the result of new information from the US DOE. G. Building Codes, $1,350,650 to provide funding for the adoption of codes and regulations. Plan Development and program roll-out was accomplished this quarter, Conducted workshops in Elko and Reno.
