Award Description: Provide the United States Department of Energy (DOE), Richland Operations Office (RL) with a Program/Project Manager with TRU waste management experience to support the ARRA accelerated scope for RL-013. Specifically, the contractor shall provide ARRA support to the RL-013 Federal Project Director (FPD), Deputy FPD and staff activities in the following areas: a. Review and understand the WIPP waste acceptance criteria; b. Review of RL contractor operations to assure they are meeting the criteria; c. Assist in preparing regular status reports; d. Support the FPD/ Deputy FPD in preparing for project reviews and other presentations related to RL TRU Project ARRA work scope; e. Assist with baseline reviews related to ARRA work scope; f. Maintain performance data and ARRA data files for the RL TRU Project activities; 2. Providing other advice and assistance as determined by FPD and/or Deputy FPD related to the ARRA accelerated scope for RL-013. 3. Attend weekly Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings to provide status reports to the FPD and team on RL TRU Project activities. 4. Attend with federal employee interface meetings with the contractor and Central Characterization Project and report to the FPD/Deputy FPD on emerging issues. 5. Periodically present information to DOE-RL for Hanford Site contractor personnel. 6. The contractor shall assist in ensuring that the RL TRU Project (funded by ARRA) meets established milestones. 7. The contractor shall assist in defining, planning, monitoring and performance of the program related to the ARRA accelerated scope for RL-013. Specific deliverables for this task will be defined by the FPD and/or Deputy FPD.
Project Description: Met with Hanford TRU program personnel to get familiar with program requirements and needs for the ARRA project management support position. Began reviewing Hanford TRU program documents to understand the structure within which the ARRA project management support position will operate.
