Award Description: The South Carolina Department of Education was awarded a State Clean Diesel Program Grant to fund a retrofit/replacement project targeting the school bus fleet in South Carolina. The general purpose of the grant is to reduce diesel emissions and improve air quality.

Project Description: During this quarter, 0 school buses were retrofitted with crankcase filtration systems and 0 hybrid electric buses were put into operation. A contract for the purchase of all crankcase filtration systems was initiated and purchase orders were cut for four hybrid electric school buses.
