Award Description: Goodwill Industries International received a 24-month grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention to provide mentoring to youth, ages 12-17, who are at risk for juvenile delinquency. The Goodwill GoodGuides Youth Mentoring Program will provide career exploration mentoring and skill development activities that offer youth encouragement and resources they need to remain in school, improve school performance, and develop career plans. Each youth will have an Individual Service Plan in which they will identify their personal education and career goals. Volunteer adult and peer mentors will meet regularly with the youth and will help connect them to resources that will help the young people explore career alternatives.
