Award Description: CDBG-R entitlement grant. Will be used for replacement of water, sewer and drainage lines under the full length of Curtis Street, in Waltham's CDBG Target Area. Low and moderate-income people comprise 52% of the population in the Curtis Street service area.
Project Description: Replacement of water, sewer and drainage lines under the full length of Curtis Street, in Waltham's CDBG Target Area. Design completed in spring of 2009, FED Corporation selected by sealed bid process in June of 2009. CDBG-R funds received in late August of 2009; street opening permits granted in September. Work scheduled to start on October 13, 2009.
