Award Description: Head Start / Early Head Start COLA and Quality Improvement COLA Activities: (1) The agency shall provide a 2.75% one time salary enhancement to salaries and fringe benefits to all full time employees. (2) In PA 22 the agency will use COLA funds to offset the rising cost of vehicle fuel expenses and in PA25 the agency will use COLA funds to offset increased utility costs. QI Activities: (1) In PA22 - 5 education staff with BA degrees will receive a $3000 one time salary enhancement plus fringe benefits, 25 education staff with AA degrees will receive $1250 one time salary enhancement plus fringe benefits, 9.75 Family Advocates will receive $1000 one time salary enhancement plus fringe benefits. In PA25 3 education staff with AA will receive $1250 on time salary enhancement plus fringe benefits, .25 Family Advocates will receive $1000 one time salary enhancements plus fringe benefits (2) In PA22 - 17 Special Needs Assistants will be hired for 6 hours per day for 4 days per week plus fringe benefits. (3) In PA22 Office supplies will be purchased to ensure effective program service as provided. (4) IN PA22 3 audiometers will be purchased to replace ones that no longer work. (5) In PA22 Education expenses will be paid for 29 staff to take 4 college classes, In PA25 education expenses will be paid for 4 staff to take 4 college classes.
