Award Description: This application is for $35,904,000 of Transportation Security Grant Program - Law Enforcement funds appropriated thorugh ARRA. This grant is for costs related to enhancing the Nation's transit infrastructure to prevent, protect, respond to, and recover from threats or acts of terrorism. Specifically, this grant will enable the New York City Police Department (NYPD) to establish and operate Anti-Terrorism Teams in the New York City Transit (NYCT) Subway system as well as on NYCT Buses.
