Award Description: The Campbellsville police criminal investigations enhancement program will allow us to aquire equipment to enhance the ability to increase the number of latent prints collected and the ability to increase arrest. The implementation stratedy is to train all local, both detective and uniform officers. Major deliverables for this program will be the availability of improved of improved means of processing scenes. The additional software aquired will also help to make composites of suspects for quick identification in all serious crimes.
Project Description: The Campbellsville Police department has purchased the aquired equipment from the vendors. All necessary employess have been trained on the the KRIMESITE MASTER RUVIS KIT. We have purchsed the composite software and the computer has been purchased and the software installed. Training has not yet been completed. We have began to utilize the KRIMSITE imager on individual pieces of evidence. We have examined three pieces of evidence with latent prints discovered on all three items. These are being developed for examination comparison to suspects.
Infrastructure Description: To stabilize State and Local government budgets, in order to minimize and avoid reductions in essential services and counterproductive State and Local taxes. To purchase forensic evidence equipment to enhance the criminal investigations unit.
