Award Description: This award came from the Department of Housing and Urban Development in the form of a Community Development Block Grant to the state to be distributed to non-entitlement communities in Michigan. It is expected that this award will lead to permanent job creation with at least 51 % of the jobs going to low and moderate income persons and to infrastructure improvements in communities where at least 51% of the residents are members of low or moderate income households.
Project Description: This project is expected to create permanent full time equivalent, construction, and temporary jobs and provide a benefit to low and moderate income populations throughout non-entitlement communities in the State of Michigan. We have begun the process of setting up projects and awarding grants to local communities.
