Award Description: ARRA Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), and Quality Improvement Funding consistent with the provisions of Section 640(a)(5) of the Head Start Act
Project Description: Project Description: ARRA COLA and Quality Funds will be used: *To provide formal ERSEA training for the grantee's family services staff, including FSA, ERSEA Specialists, program clerks and administrators. *To provide opportunities to improve staff qualifications and skills through professional development with a concentrated focus on English as a second language and students with disabilities. *To purchase instructional materials especially designed to support ESL & SWD needs *To provide a 4.04% approved indirect cost rate for allowable general administrative expenses. Quarterly Activities: *One of three planned training sessions has been completed. *One of two SWD and ESL staff development conferences has been completed. *SWD and ESL instructional materials are being selected and purchased for classroom use. *Indirect costs associated with quarterly expenditures has been remitted.
