Award Description: ARRA Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), and Quality Improvement Funding consistent with the provisions of Section 640(a)(5) of the Head Start Act.
Project Description: COLA Increase 74.29 FTE's compensation by 1.84% in salaries and fringe benefits over a 12 month period. The health insurance premiums increased 7% for each employee, the agency will absorb the additional cost. Quality Improvement: Provide compensation increases for retention of staff. There are position within the agency that were way below the wage comparability study. To provide a downpayment to purchase a service site. Outcomes: Increased the hourly rate by 1.84% to staff, increased the position salaries below the wage comparibility study, and absorbed the 7% health premium increase for the period of July-September 2009. No answer on the offer submitted to purchase the service site.
