Award Description: ARRA Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) and Quality Improvement Funding consistent with the provisions of Section 640(a)(5) of the Head Start Act
Project Description: All staff received a cost of living adjustment effective 07/01/09. 2 HVAC systems more than 12 yrs old were replaced. Upholstery of seats on 4 buses has been completed. Educational Materials were purchased to enhance & facilitate math, science and literacy skills. Advertising Billboard in spanish for recruitment efforts targeting the Hispanic population was put on display for a 3 month term. 200 water bottles and 250 gel sanitizer bottles were purchased as recruitment/marketing materials and were distributed to increase public awareness.
