Award Description: This grant award provides funding under the American Recovery Reinvestment Act of 2009 to the State of Pennsylvania through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority ('PENNVEST ) to capitalize its revolving loan fund for the financing for the construction of wastewater treatment facilities and associated infrastructure, green infrastructure, nonpoint source projects, estuary projects and program administration. The primary purposes of the funding award is to preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery through the investment in infrastructure projects that will improve water quality and provide long-term economic benefits.
Project Description: This grant award provides funding under the American Recovery Reinvestment Act of 2009 to the State of Pennsylvania through the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority ('PENNVEST ) to capitalize its revolving loan fund for the financing for the construction of wastewater treatment facilities and associated infrastructure, green infrastructure, nonpoint source projects, estuary projects and program administration. The primary purposes of the funding award is to preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery through the investment in infrastructure projects that will improve water quality and provide long-term economic benefits.
Infrastructure Description: PENNVEST is a conduit lender. It is using this grant award in conjunction with its other resources to provide much needed funding to communities through out the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for infrastructure projects that have a water quality impact and which will therefore improve the environmental protection of the citizens of our Commonwealth while simultaneously providing much needed employment opportunities in the construction industry.
