Award Description: This Recovery Act supplement to ELC includes three major activities. Activity A is the basic staffing and coordination to draft the State HAI Prevention Plan and establish the state’s capacity to develop an HAI prevention program. Activity B aims to increase facility participation in CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and use NHSN to establish baseline HAI data for the state. Activity C aims to support prevention collaboratives in the state to undertake prevention activities or initiatives.
Project Description: Preparing contract modifications, writing position descriptions, etc. Account code for award is still in the process of being created in the State financial accounting system.
