Award Description: A) The University follows the guideline that has been provided by HRSA to identify all students that qualify based on racial/ethnicity background or that are economically disadvantage. B) The Financial Aid department identifies the students that are eligible for the scholarship. Once we have determined the number of students we will divide that number of eligible applicants by the amount of the award allocated to the University. We ensure that the award amount will not exceed the students program cost of attendance. C) Funds are posted to the student Bursar account, if this amount results in a credit then the student will receive a refund via check or by direct deposit. D) Previous individual scholarship awards have varied due to the amount and number of students eligible for the scholarship. Based on the previous awards the university does not expect the award to cover the cost of attendance. It will assist the student is paying their cost or reducing the amount borrowed in loans.
