Award Description: The purpose of these ARA-HRSA Public Health Traineeship funds is to increase the number of underrepresented professionals working in the designated shortage areas (Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Maternal and Child Health, Public Health Nutrition, and Environmental Health Sciences) through the increased recruitment and retention of disadvantaged/minority students in public health. These funds will be used to pay for tuition/fees for new students and/or to provide new students with stipends for degree-required summer field training.
