Award Description: ARRA Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), and Quality Improvement Funding consistnet with the provisions of Section 640(a)(5)of the Head Start Act
Project Description: Project Description ARRA COLA and Quality Funds will be used to: ? Increase the compensation and benefits to staff through a cost of living adjustment to improve the overall quality of the program. ? Provide professional development and incentives to teaching staff to improve staff qualifications ? Make repairs to modular units to create a safe environment ? Purchase classroom supplies to enhance the program ? Partial payment on a bus with a wheelchair lift ? Training for parents and teachers to work with disabled children Quarterly Activities ? All staff received a cost of living adjustment effective August 1, 2009.
