Award Description: The purpose of the Salmon Rearing Habitat Restoration & Protection Project at Lynwood Park & Related Habitat Improvements is to implement approximately ¼ mile of streambank restoration in addition to watershed and related riparian habitat improvements through the Youth Employment in Parks (YEP) program. A portion of the funding from this grant was awarded to the Municipality of Anchorage Parks & Recreation Department, which acts as the formal employer for the crews. The remainder will be used for restoration supplies, professional services and other program expenses. The majority of the project work was initiated in summer 2009 and will be completed in summer 2010.
