Award Description: The City of Grand Rapids with five disparate jurisdictions within the county will use the funds for activities and project that will provide meaningful and measurable outcomes consistent with the goals of the Recovery Act. Specifically, funds will e used towards hiring personnel, training, purchasing technology and law enforcement equipment, forensic science, an evaluation of restorative justice, and security fencing for a correctional camp. The overall goal is to minimize and avoid reductions in essential services provided by each law enforcement jurisdiction.
