Award Description: The disparate jurisdictions consisting of Yolo County and cities of Davis, West Sacramento and Woodland California will share the Recovery Act JAG funds in the amount of $363,086 to support personnel within law enforcement agencies. These agencies share the goal of using their funds to avoid reductions and elimination of personnel and vital services. In addition, funds will be used towards the training of personnel and building community partnerships to enhance communication and service to the city.

Project Description: Partial funds used by City of Davis Police for Jul-Sep 2009 retention of 2 part-time Community Service Officers. Partial funds used by City of West Sacramento Police towards Jul-Sep 2009 retention of 1 Police Officer/Domestic Violence investigator. Grant activity has begun and funds will be distributed to sub-recipients later in October.
