Award Description: Psychophysiology of Irritable Bowel Syndrome ARRA
Project Description: With the additional funding for advertising the recruitment effort has expanded to include listings in NC Tracs, UNC Clinical Trials, UNC Healthcare, UNC informational mass email, and Craigslist. New flyers and ads have been created to advertise separately for IBS subjects and healthy controls. Approximately 200 new subjects have been screened, resulting in 30 controls and 10 IBS subjects scheduled. In addition, blood samples from existing subjects are being processed and prepared for DNA analysis later this month.
