Award Description: The COPS Hiring Recovery Program (CHRP) provides funding directly to law enforcement agencies to hire and/or rehire career law enforcement officers in an effort to create and preserve jobs, and to increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts.
Project Description: The City of Bradenton Police Department is hiring any vacant positions of the six that were authorized to be retained and developing tracking for the six positions to report as to the positions activities relating to the Community Policing Plan.

The positions will build upon existing community and law enforcement partnerships, problem solve in the community and implement organizational change as to community policing based upon community input and field observations.
