Award Description: 'The COPS Hiring Recovery Program (CHRP) provides funding directly to law enforcement agencies to hire and/or rehire career law enforcment officers in an effort to create and preserve jobs, and to increase thier community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts.'
Project Description: Since the award we have hired one full-time officer. After the officer completes FTO he will replace a veteran officer that will serve as the full-time Community Service Officer for the Department. This officer will serve all parts of the community as addressed in our grant narative.
