Jobs Summary: The City of Long Beach, Harbor Department estimates that seventy-five (75) jobs will be created and/or sustained over the duration of the funded projects. This estimate is based on a rule of thumb method: 10 jobs (Direct, Indirect, and Induced) per $1,000,000 of construction activity and assumes the construction will occur during a 12-month period. Some of these jobs may be long-term, but most will likely be for the project duration. Jobs created/retained will range from professional services (engineering, design and project managment) to construction labor positions. Calculations for job creation based upon OMB guidance (M-09-21) will be provided once the projects are underway. (Total jobs reported: 0)
