Award Description: NEWBURYPORT- PARK & RIDE EXPANSION The proposed expansion of the Newburyport Park & Ride facility will add 105 parking spaces. Work will include the construction of a soil nail retaining wall, upgrades to the existing lighting, as well as new lighting for the additional spaces. Drainage for the new area will be installed and connected to the existing drainage system. Deep sump catch basins and manholes will be used to minimize environmental impacts. The entire Park & Ride facility will be resurfaced and new pavement markings will be placed. Also included will be landscaping such as plantings and grass. Sidewalks will be constructed to meet ADA/AAB requirements. The facility will remain open during construction. The existing main parking lot will be resurfaced and striped at night.
