Award Description: Franklin C. Fetter has been a primary health care delivery system in the Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton and Dorchester Counties for more than 40 years. The CIP will enable the organization to continue to provide optimal quality health care to a growing number of uninsured patients. The CIP funds will allow Franklin C. Fetter to: 1. Renovate and repair facilities that have not been properly maintained in years due to lack of funds, 2. Replace malfunctioning HVAC units, 3. Purchase and upgrade necessary medical and administrative equipment, and 4. Purchase a Certifed Electronic Health Record. The effectiveness of the health center will improve in that it will enhance the atmosphere and patient surroundings. Provide comfort for patients and staff during the summer and winter seasons. Upgrading and replacing Medical and Office Equipment will improve efficiency with the latest technology. Electronic Health Records will improve quality of care and help to improve better patient outcomes.
