Award Description: To support arts projects and activities which preserve jobs in the nonprofit arts sector threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn.
Project Description: The IAC received 68 applications for the ARRA Grant Program. Through a special arrangement, the IAC partnered with Arts Midwest and the Arts Council of Indianapolis to panel applications and select grantees. The IAC selected 13 subgrantees that will receive funding. Contracts have been signed by each recipient and are currently being routed for approval by the State of Indiana. Once the contracts have been approved, initial payments will be made.
