Award Description: Innate Intracellular Mechanisms Recently a novel intracellular virus recognition pathway was described that appears to be crticial for host innate immune responses to a viral infection. We aim to further dissect this pathway and explore its ramifications. Given the critical nature of this anti viral mechanism, our study will have direct implication in several areas of puclic health including the development of anti viral therapeutics and novel vaccines.

Project Description: In this project, we are working towards dissecting the virus recognition pathway that is critical for host innate immune responses to a viral infection and explore the ramifications.
