Award Description: Highway Infrastructure Investment Grant: Areas Over 200K
Project Description: The proposed project along Buford Highway in Gwinnett County will upgrade signal equipment and install fiber optic interconnect to allow for Intelligent Transporation Systems (ITS). Installation of ITS on Buford Highway from Global Forum Boulevard to Sugarloaf Pkwy for a total of 11 miles. ITS equipment will allow for better management of signal timing and response to traffic delays.
