Award Description: MISSOURI DNR WAS AWARDED A NATIONAL CLEAN DIESEL FUNDING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM GRANT TO FUND A RETROFIT AND REPLACEMENT PROJECT TARGETING DIESEL VEHICLES IN THE SAINT LOUIS AND SPRINGFIELD AREAS. THE GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE GRANT IS TO REDUCE DIESEL EMISSIONS AND IMPROVE AIR QUALITY.

Project Description: During this quarter no retrofit or replacement projects were completed. In St. Louis, the subgrant was signed and returned by St. Louis Regional Clean Cities (SLRCC). SLRCC drafted subgrant agreements for the St. Louis area fleet owners. In Springfield, the subgrant was signed and returned by the Ozark Center for Sustainable Solutions at Drury University (OCSS). OCSS created subgrant agreements and sent them out to all ten school districts. Nine of those ten school districts have signed and returned their subgrant agreements to OCSS. Some school districts have begun ordering diesel oxidation catalysts (DOC) and new buses.

Jobs Summary: Missouri DNR only counted jobs that were reported as created or retained. In Saint Louis area jobs retained were 0.16 FTE. In Springfield area jobs retained were 0.11. Total FTE's retained for this reporting period is 0.27. In Saint Louis, jobs were retained and were figured on a normal 40 hr week. Work hrs were 84 hrs = 84/520 = 0.16 FTE. This was all administration work done by the Executive Director of Saint Louis Regional Clean Cities for the subgrant. We used 520 hrs to figure the FTE because this grant was awarded to the department 7-9-09. In Springfield, jobs were retained and were figured on a normal 40 hr week. Work hrs were 59 hrs = 59/520 = 0.11 FTE. This was all administration work done by the Director of the Ozark Center for the Sustainable Solutions at Drury University for the subgrant. We used 520 hrs to figure the FTE because this grant was awarded to the department 7-9-09. The 0.27 jobs does not contain any Missouri DNR positions. (Total jobs reported: 0)

Project Status: Less Than 50% Completed
