Award Description: The Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center (ACJIC) plans to provide NCIC access to all rural jurisdictions in Alabama. Plans include hiring one new field agent to cover ACJIC Region 6.

ACJIC is currently in the process of developing the required documentation needed to initiate the hiring process through the State Personnel Department. This position is a sworn law enforcement position classified as a Field Agent. The current vacancy is for ACJIC's Field Operations division #6. Division 6 is comprised of Sumter, Choctow, Marengo, Monroe, Wilcox, Dallas, Perry, and Chilton counties. All of these counties are considered 'rural' under the federal guidelines for this program.
