Award Description: The South Miami Police Department-Patrol Unit will purchase two (2) laptop computers with software and one (1) vehicle. These purchases will allow for the retention of jobs.
Project Description: The City of South Miami will purchase a police vehicle and two (2) laptop computers related to this award. No less than two (2) jobs will be retained within the Police Department related the equipment to be purchased.
Jobs Summary: There are three (3) jobs retained as part of the project. The purchasing manager (fulltime) and police staff (fulltime) will begin the process of ordering equipment as part of the grant conditions and timeline. In addition, jobs are also being retained by manufactures that we intend to purchase the vehicle and the two (2) computers. The grants' administrator (fulltime) is also being retained to coordinate the project and reports. (Total jobs reported: 3)
