Award Description: State Clean Diesel/National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program Grant to fund a School Bus Retrofit and Truck Stop Electrification (TSE) program targeting school buses and trucks in parking areas in order to reduce diesel emissions and improve air quality. APU Rebate Program funding has been shifted to the Statewide School Bus Retrofit project.
Project Description: Diesel - State. During this quarter the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Truck Stop Electrification (TSE) closed in July and an award was issued September 29. The contract should be executed in the fourth quarter and the work is expected to begin as soon as the contract is signed by both the vendor and DEP. The RFP for the Statewide School Bus Retrofits closed on September 29 and the DEP contracts office is currently facilitating the selection process. Once a vendor is selected, a contract will be initiated with the vendor and work should begin before the end of the fourth quarter.
