Award Description: The $66,089 in JAG funding will allow the Village to retain a Code Compliance Officer position as part of the Rental Property Licensing Program. The program supports the Village of Wellington?s objective to maintain a high quality safe rental housing stock by annually inspecting each existing rental dwelling available for lease within the Village of Wellington and also the inspection of newly constructed rental units prior to habitation. The JAG funds will allow for the program to be adequately staffed and ensure a minimum deliverable of 90% compliance rate is achieved of all residential rental units within the Village of Wellington.
