Award Description: The police department's goal is to re-establish the Citizens Police Academy, restore the Cops and Kids Basketball Program, provide educational programs for neighborhood safety and Senior Citizens crime prevention, and to purchase equipment such as lasers, patrol rifles, AEDS, and two CCTV monitors for the police state.
Project Description: Fund police department overtime for enforcement and crime-prevention activities, as well as the purchase of tactical equipment. Programs include the Summertime Traffic Enforcement Program, Citizens Police Academy, Cops and Kids Basketball Program, Senior Citizens Crime Eduction Program and Neighborhood Safety Education Program. Equipment purchases include tasers, patrol rifles, AEDS, adn two CCTV monitors for the police station.
